Eating doesn’t start when you take a bite — it starts with your eyes! The only difference in these three photos is their plates: Tupperware, an 11-inch plate and an 8-inch plate. Eating your meal on a smaller plate visually looks like a larger portion, and can subconsciously help you feel fuller faster simply because you aren’t aiming to fill the entire plate of food.
