Meet Flying Fortress CrossFit: Casey Garcia

“I am currently a stay at home mom, married with 3 kids. I’ve wanted to do CrossFit for about 3 years now. I naturally gained weight with every pregnancy and I wanted to get back in shape. I’ve been to regular gyms before but it wasn’t for me. CrossFit works better for me because it’s a group setting – a group setting in which I’ve never ever felt ashamed. My team mates are more than encouraging!

My favorite thing to do in CrossFit is weightlifting! I like to gradually add in weight and see what my max weight limit is!!


If I gave advice to anyone considering CrossFit, I would tell them ‘just do it’! Try it out! CrossFit is known to be intimidating but it honestly shows yourself how strong you really are! I’ve been doing CrossFit for 3 months now and I’ve already come a long way! I started off with the 6-week beginner class, not working out for about 2 years and after having 3 c-sections and my core and upper body strength was extremely weak! I love where I’m at and very excited to see where I will be in a year from now!

Fortress Fit BOOTCAMP starts June 11th. The class will meet Monday, Tuesday & Thursday at either 8AM or 6PM.

CrossFit Kids is Tuesday and Thursday from 9:30-10:30 AM

We are closed Saturday, June 16th. Come support the ladies of FFCF at the Girls of Summer Competition at CrossFit Katy.
